Paint Room Assistant

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Paint room Assistant, you are the lifeblood of our creative studio. You'll be responsible for maintaining the heart of our operations: the painting experience itself. This role is perfect for a proactive and energetic person who loves to be amid the creative action. You'll ensure our space is always prepared, our paints are vibrant, and our guests have everything they need to unleash their imagination.
While your focus is on the paint room, you'll also be an integral part of our close-knit team, assisting with other customer-facing duties to provide a seamless and joyful experience for everyone who walks through our doors. -
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Studio Preparation & Management: Prepare the painting walls for each session, ensuring they are clean and ready for a fresh start. You will also manage and organise the paint and tools, keeping them stocked and accessible.
- Event Support: Assist with the setup and delivery of our unique themed events and seasonal celebrations, ensuring the creative vision is brought to life and the experience runs smoothly for all participants.
Customer Support: Assist customers in the painting area, offering guidance on techniques, helping with tools, and answering any questions they may have. - Operational Excellence: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised paint room. This includes regular cleanup of the space and tools throughout the day and helping with end-of-day duties.
- Team Collaboration: Work alongside the entire PaintnGo team, offering support with front-of-house tasks like greeting customers, helping with check-ins, and assisting with party setup and breakdown as needed.
- Food & Beverage Service & Maintenance: Assist with the serving of drinks and snacks, clear and clean tables, and help with other duties connected to the smooth running of the café area when required.

As a Front of House Assistant, you are the first point of contact for our customers and the face of PaintnGo. Your primary role is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests arrive. You will manage all customer inquiries, bookings, and front-desk operations with efficiency and a friendly, problem-solving attitude.
While your focus is on the front desk, you'll also be an integral part of our close-knit team, assisting in the paint room, cleaning and supporting the café team to ensure a seamless and joyful experience for everyone who walks through our doors.

- Customer Service & Engagement: Greet all customers with a friendly welcome, assist with check-in, and provide a clear overview of the PaintnGo experience.
- Bookings & Administration: Manage bookings, process payments, and respond to email and phone inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Issue Resolution: Handle customer feedback, questions, and complaints with a calm, empathetic, and solution-oriented approach.

Café Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Cafe Manager, you are the operational heart of PaintnGo. You are responsible for ensuring the seamless, profitable, and high-quality operation of our integrated cafe, which is a vital component of the entire customer experience. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage all aspects of a busy food and beverage service while contributing to the overall fun, creative atmosphere of the studio.
Your focus will be on leading the café team, maintaining impeccable standards of food hygiene and customer service, managing inventory, and supporting the smooth transition of service during our high-energy painting events. You will be instrumental in making the cafe a welcoming and efficient hub for all our guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all day-to-day cafe operations, ensuring speed, efficiency, and a high standard of service during all shifts.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and lead the cafe staff, fostering a positive, motivated, and customer-focused team culture.
- Financial Management: Manage cafe budgets, monitor daily revenue and expenses, handle cash management (including cashing up and banking), and actively work to meet profit targets.
- Food & Beverage (F&B) Standards: Maintain strict adherence to all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations. Manage the quality, presentation, and consistency of all F&B offerings (coffee, snacks, etc.).
- Inventory & Ordering: Efficiently manage all F&B stock, place orders with suppliers, process deliveries, and conduct regular stocktakes to minimise waste.
- Customer Experience: Ensure the cafe area is clean, welcoming, and well-maintained at all times. Promptly and professionally resolve any complex customer queries or complaints.
- Event Integration: Work closely with the Events Team/Artists to ensure the café service seamlessly supports scheduled 'PaintnGo' sessions and private party bookings.

- A proven leader with 2+ years of experience in a Café Manager or Supervisor role.
- A passionate and energetic individual with a deep understanding of hospitality and customer service.
- Strong business acumen with experience in managing budgets, controlling stock, and driving sales.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—you must be comfortable directing staff, liaising with suppliers, and engaging with customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking creative and passionate freelance artists to lead and deliver our themed and seasonal events. This is a project-based or part-time role perfect for individuals who want flexible, creative work. As a freelancer/part-time member of staff, you will be responsible for bringing our unique painting experiences to life for individual or multiple sessions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Event Delivery: Lead and manage individual themed painting sessions, ensuring a fun and engaging atmosphere for all participants.
- Creative Execution: Set up and execute the creative vision for each session, including preparing the painting subject and adapting to the studio's theme.
- Customer Engagement: Interact with customers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner, providing guidance and encouragement to painters of all skill levels.
- Preparation: Arrive on time to prepare the studio for the session, including setting up materials and decorations.
- Other responsibilities: Assist with cleanup, serving customers, front-of-house and other tasks to fulfil the overall paint experience for all customers.

- Themed Event Management: Lead and manage the entire event process for our themed and seasonal nights, including but not limited to:
- Themed Parties: Music-inspired sessions, food-themed events, or special occasions.
- Seasonal Celebrations: Halloween, Christmas, or other seasonal events with decorations and a unique vibe.
- Teen Nights: Creating high-energy, fun themes like our Neon and Graffiti nights.
- Artful Moments: A Gentle Journey Through Art and Memories
- Design sessions for the 65yrs+ that are gentle exploration of different themes, including nature, nostalgia, art history, and coastal scenes.
- Creative Escapes: These are 1.5hr sessions designed for night out with loved ones or friends. They are social painting events that are the perfect way to shake things up, try something new, and enjoy some drinks with your favourite people.
- All-Ages Family Freestyle: Sessions designed for families with children of all ages, focusing on fun themes like Halloween, Christmas, or summer.
- Kids' Parties: Events for specific age groups (e.g., 8-12 years) with themes like Glow-in-the-Dark Neon Parties or other popular trends. These are typically drop-off events.
- Teen Nights: High-energy, blacklight-infused experiences for teenagers (ages 13-17) with music and a focus on creative freedom.
- Adult Party Nights: Social painting events for adults, including classic Paint & Sip experiences and specific holiday-themed sessions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creative Inspiration: Circulate the room and engage with guests to spark their imagination and encourage uninhibited expression. You will offer creative suggestions, provide themed inspiration, and help guests discover their own unique artistic voice, ensuring everyone feels confident and engaged in their artistic journey, regardless of age or skill level.
- Customer Experience: Be a friendly point of contact for guests in the paint room, creating a fun, energetic, and supportive atmosphere. You will ensure their needs are met and assist with any creative or logistical questions they may have with a positive and proactive attitude.

Founding Partner

Abel is a designer and serial entrepreneur with a diverse background, including several inventions and a variety of businesses. Having navigated the highs and lows of business ownership, he has gained extensive experience as a sole trader, partner, and limited company owner. This wealth of knowledge and passion for free self-expression culminates in his latest venture, PaintnGo.

David is a seasoned business leader with over 30 years' experience in B2B events and digital media. His background in implementing transformative strategies is complemented by a profound personal journey as a primary caregiver for five years. This experience ignited his passion for art as a source of healing and joy, fuelling his desire to launch PaintnGo as both a commercial venture and a powerful social enterprise dedicated to community well-being.
